The Calgary Stampede is the biggest party of the year, but a brewing gang warfare threatens to dampen spirits. A gangland execution in a quiet neighborhood in broad daylight brings Detective Cam Clay and his team to the crime scene. Soon, the bodies are piling up and the brutal leader of a new criminal faction from Vancouver has every intention of taking over the streets of Calgary. Everything seems to be brewing towards a final confrontation right in the middle of the Stampede festivities. With pressure mounting from the Mayor's office to solve the crimes and ease the fears of the public, Clay's efforts to save the Stampede place him directly in the eye of a blood-soaked and dangerous summer storm.
